Objectives:
  • Identify that atoms are the smallest unit of all matter and each atom consists of protons, neutrons, and electrons.
  • Identify the location of the nucleus and electrons and determine which subatomic particles belong in each location.
  • Create models of atoms in order to identify the number and location of their protons, neutrons, and electrons.

Topic: Land-forms
Objective: Identify lands-forms in Florida based on characteristics.


Station 1:Write down land-forms with descriptions on page 56 in your Interactive Journal. 
Station 2: Students will review land-forms using quizlet. 
  1. Students will start with the flashcards (read the description and identify the land-form).
Station 3: Students will show mastery through several task. Groups will pick a task from each level and assign a member to complete the task. Each member will be responsible for one task with a total of four tasks per group.

Objective:Describe the main function of the Excretory System
Home Learning: Complete Achieve 3000 (The Winning Wheat) and study for Vocabulary/Body Systems quiz.


Station 1
Students will complete Edpuzzle (The Urinary System). Students will watch the video and take notes in their Interactive Journal.
Station 2
Students will work with the teacher to complete Excretory guided notes through discussion and power-points.
Station 3
Students will work in collaborative groups to create an infomercial on the Excretory System.

Topic: Tides
Objective: Describe how Lunar Phases causes different tides
Home Learning: Study for assessment on seasons, tides, lunar phases, and days. Students will also complete achieve 3000 (Save the Beach) and PENDA (Interacting Spheres

Station 1
Students will complete Edpuzzle (Tides). Students will watch the video and take notes in their Interactive Journal.
Station 2
Students will work with the teacher to complete a FCIM lesson on Earth's Spheres through discussion and an activity
Station 3
Students will work in collaborative groups to complete a Tide Activity.
